Historic Farmhouse custom floor / Waltham

Starting with a freshly lain raw pine floor and laser-sighted level, larger and smaller squares were drawn and multiple tapings and color applications are layered to create this beautifully unique design created by the client.

Walnut stain applied

First step : Stain.

Tile squares taped off

Second step : Using laser line, mark out squares to be taped-off.

White base applied over stained and taped design

Third step : Paint over all squares with base white.

Tape removed to reveal stained squares

Fourth step : Remove tape, revealing original floor.

Border lines taped

Fifth step: Lay out larger squares and tape -off borders, Paint in secondary taupe squares.

Last color applied, taped removed to reveal final design.

Sixth and final step : With all tape removed, apply (2) coats of polyurethane. Client and designer intends for floor to wear and age into naturally distressed floor.
